Twenty years ago, I started my information consulting career in Chicago.  Over the years
I have seen the computer industry grow tremendously while helping businesses take advantage of it.
My role gave me the opportunity to visit Australia. I fell in love with the place and decided to make it my base of operations. One of the first people I met when I arrived said that my ginger colouring made me look like Milo the cat from that well known Australian movie “Milo and Otis”. The nickname has stuck ever since. All my friends know me as Milo and I have gotten into the habit of introducing myself as Milo.
I am an avid sports fan and lead a life that keeps me well conditioned on all levels; physical, emotional and intellectual. I am a ferocious reader and exercise workouts are a regular routine. Australia is famous for its golf courses and fine wine. Ever since I arrived, I developed a rabid interest and following in both. Fortunately, I have maintained a sense of my roots. Satellite communications, technological advances in air travel and the internet have made the world a smaller place and it’s easy to access a worldwide market.
I just became an Australian citizen but, I maintain my U.S. citizenship and my worldwide travels with my previous employer motivates me to consider myself a ‘citizen of the world’. After a couple of decades helping client organizations efficiently access the worldwide market, I took a step back and asked myself why I didn’t do the same thing for myself. This led me to move on and develop my own independent business initiatives.
